OPE (Operation Extérieure) is an exciting event where students collaborate to launch their brands in partnership with external companies. The culmination of this endeavor is the opening of a pop-up store at Laforet Harajuku, where students showcase and sell their creations.
I had the pleasure of being involved in the creation of two brands: my own “Corvo Bianco” (@corvobianco_official) and another brand developed by our team called “Soliloquis”.
Crafting my brand was a delightful experience, although I encountered some challenges along the way. It was a bit disheartening that I couldn’t receive more guidance from teachers due to their busy schedules. Initially, the rules seemed to be in flux; one teacher informed me that I could follow my schedule, but as the deadline approached, I learned that sticking to the group’s schedule was crucial for my brand’s pop-up store opportunity.
Despite the hectic pace, I remained dedicated and creative. I had to forgo making design sketches at times, relying instead on mental imagery while crafting patterns. I focused on creating basic items infused with wearable yet captivating prints and original fabrics.
Throughout this process, we delivered a total of three presentations to the Laforet Harajuku staff, showcasing our brands and vision for the pop-up store.
It was a challenging yet incredibly rewarding experience, filled with valuable lessons that I can apply both personally and professionally.

For our team brand, I crafted the top, bottom, and bag.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t participate in selling items at Harajuku Laforet due to a foot injury. It was a disappointing setback as I was eager to experience the event firsthand. However, thanks to the support of some of my classmates, I was able to sell some of my items.
